Default Shutdown or delete apps on Win P Pro

Recently started an old Win XP Pro laptop.

How do I shut off these:

(1) backup and sync ? - the message pops up on the taskbar over the
shield yet nothing at the shield relates. a google thing.

(2) where to turn on and off windows little apps like messaging between
pcs ?

Try:
Start Menu Accessories System Tools Synchronize

If it's already disabled, then your "backup and sync" is likely a third
party software. Probably Google's Backup and Sync.

There's Windows Messager application, but AFAIK it's no longer usable
because Microsoft has already shut down the server.

The only other PC to PC messaging feature is the Windows' Messenger service,
but it's disabled by default. If it's not, it can be disabled from the
Services Manager:

Right-click My Computer Manage
Services and Applications Services Messenger

Wonderful. So you have now confirmed that you believe on recycling old
products!!! Join the loonies of this planet.

The easiest way is to call a technician who can fix these things and you
can ask him or her other things!!!
