Default xp auto shut off

As until I upgraded to Windows XP Professional, when I
clicked to turn off the computer, it shut off
automatically(windows 98) Now, I have to use the rocker
switch at the back of my cabinet. Is there a fix for this?

START - SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - Power options - APM tab - check the box
to enable APM
