Default Printing from a Win 98 PC to a printer attached to a Win Xp PC

Despite having enabled sharing for my HP932C Deskjet
attached to my Win XP PC (via parallel port) I cannot see
the printer icon on my Win 98 laptop. I am using a
wireless network made by Netgear. I can see all my files
and drive's from the Win98 to the Win XP and vice versa
but I cannot see the printer on my Win98 machine. Loading
the Win98 drivers on the Win XP machine did not help.

This used to be a cinch when the machine with the printer
attached used to run Win95.

Is the shared name for the printer less than 12 characters/numbers with NO
SPACES in it?
