Default XP Network Printer

I am able to see the network printer but when I print to
it tells me that the printer is not available. The
printer works with the desk top it is attached to.

On the PC with the printer attached, go to the Control Panel and click on
Printers & Faxes. Right click on the printer in question and select
Properties. Is there a Security Tab? If so, you need to set the correct
permissions here.

Hello Cari,

I have a similar problem. However the printer with the
problem is connected to the network via a netware print
qeue. For one particular user, I try to add the printed
and XP tells me that the printer is offline or I trped
the path in wrong, yet I browsed for the printer
in "printers and faxes". It has got me quite baffled and
its the third time it has happened with XP. Anyone else
can see the printer whether they have 98 or XP.

Thank You

Is the Guest Acount enabled in the PC with the Printer attached..... or the
User Name and Password of the notebook added as a User on the PC with the
Printer attached?
