Printer Problems 4 Days Before School Starts!

Hello! My printer stopped working. Compaq. I went
through the full help procedures and it didn't come up
with anything. When I go to cancel my print job it
shows "status offline" but when I go through my control
panel and check the status it shows ready (online). Does
anyone know what might be causing this? I can print a
test page if I change the ink cartridge, but nothing
else, from any program. Thanks!
