Default Settings for Logging conversations

On 3 January, I posted a question regarding if and where
the user setting for Chat Logs was held on the p.c.
Jonathan Kay was kind enough to reply, but his information
didn't correspond with what I found on my p.c. Is there
any further information available?

That question again: Whenever my kids log in, I want to
ensure that their MSN Messenger conversations are logged.
Is that setting held somewhere on the p.c. (for example,
in the Registry) - if so, where?

Many thanks,
Dave Willis

unfortunately, I don't know what Jonathan answered to you.

In MSN Messenger, select Tools|Options, switch to
Tab "Messages" and activate logging in the lower part
of the dialog.

Thanks Thomas, but that doesn't help me...

My kids are teenagers. They don't allow me to come up
behind them and turn on logging - they have it turned
off. Instead, I want to turn it on automatically when
they log in (via the login script), so that I can review
their conversations if necessary - at least, if they
haven't realised and turned logging off again!

Any ideas?
Dave
