Default Sonic MyDVD and Roxio ECD Creator 6 Platinum

I would like to know if anyone has had experience with
having Sonic MyDVD Version 5 on the same PC as Roxio Easy
CD Creator 6 Platinum.

Here's my problem. Last year my Compaq Presario came with
Sonic MyDVD 3.5 Basic and Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Basic
preinstalled. Recently I have upgraded both products to
MyDVD 5 (even more recently 5.2.2) and Roxio ECD Creator 6
platinum (Version 6.2 is available now to registered
users). Following the installation of both products, I
found that the burn button of MyDVD was grayed out and
unusable. Through email support to Sonic I found that
there were some issues and ended up uninstalling Roxio.
Once this was done, MyDVD burn button was fine. To keep
the CD write capability I reinstalled Roxio Version 5
Basic and found that MyDVD still worked OK.

I have emailed Roxio but there has been no response and as
I said before, Sonic has confirmed some compatibility
issues, but no specifics yet as to fixes or if the two
programs just flat out won't work together.

Has anyone had experience with this, or heard of
compatibility problems? Do you know of any solutions?

Thanks
