Default Remembered passwords

If we need to access the web we authenticate through a
proxy server. A user has checked the box to remember
password. Does anybody know how I can remove this so
Internet Explorer will ask for authentication again? The
closest I have found is Article - 306992 but no username
passwords are stored.

Thanks in anticipation
A Wilson

P.S. By the way we are using Windows XP pro

Hi,

open IE then go to Tools - Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete -
Clear Passwords and Clear Forms.

I hope this helps,

Mike

Mike,
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately this is for
auto complete on web sites where I'm after removing
authentication on to a proxy server when I connect to the
internet.

Many thanks anyway
Alan

Is your proxy server authentication via a dedicated client, or a web =
page?

Since you're authenticating through a dedicated client, then IE is not =
saving the password, the application in question is.=20
