Some Icons stop appearing on System Tray
Xref: kermit microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize:124333
I've been having a problem for a week or two; Icons for running applications that used to appear in the system tray do not. They are not selectively hidden via the properties... If I kill the process for the application (e.g., powerchute and/or United Devices) and restart them, they then appear on the desktop. But the next reboot, they're gone and I have to repeat the process. This is also annoying when the USB device icon dissappears, and I need to shut down an external USB device. Any ideas would be appreciated... -i.j. |

Thanks Kelly. That worked. It turns out I needed to
disable my SSDP and uPNP in services. The program this person made gave me some options to check. Thanks again! -i.j. -----Original Message----- I.J. wrote: I've been having a problem for a week or two; Icons for running applications that used to appear in the system tray do not.
