Default Users settings lost

What is causing a user to lose all his settings, files he
has created when he logs off? It is like the computer is
starting over brand new when he logs back on.

Sound sliek he has a corrupt profile. You need to create a new user
and copy the files/settings from the old profile in c:\documents and
settings.
