SP2 Windows Explorer Slow To Open
Rick,
I have tried but this solution is not helping me. In msconfig the WIA service is sopped. And then I still see the same problem. For me it takes close to 15 min,. before I get the windows explorer,. Any other suggestions,. MY IE also takes a long time to load. Sudh "Rick "Nutcase" Rogers" wrote: Hi, Click start/run, type MSCONFIG and click ok. Go to the services tab and uncheck the line that loads WIA (Windows Image Acquisition). After installing SP2 When I click on Windows Explorer I get a minimum 1 minute delay (waving Flashlight) before it displays the contents of my computer (drives,etc....) This also happens with outlook express. Any ideas? Defrag didn't help. |

SP2 Windows Explorer Slow To Open
Guys,
Thanks for all the updates. I found all the reasons were due to the fact that my computer was infested with spyware, trojan horses etc. Installing the new Microsoft Beta anti-Spyware helped. Previously I had tried cleaning up with SpyBot and Ad-Aware, but they did not work. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx Thanks Sudh1 "Sudh1" wrote: Rick, I have tried but this solution is not helping me.
