Default MSN Messenger 7.5 Build 7.5.0324 High CPU Usage Problem

Since installing MSN Messenger 7.5 Build 7.5.0324 I have had a couple of
problems firstly it completely crashed on wininet.dll 6.0.2900.2861 and
Outlook and Explorer also crashed so I downloaded debug version of the
WININET.DLL 6.0.2900.2180 which solved the crashes but now MSN frequently
takes up 90% to 100% cpu in Windows Task Manager in Processes which makes all
other tasks grind to a halt so I have to end the process of msnmsgr.exe to
continue working. I have done a search and it seems that lots of users are
experiencing problems with cpu usage in 7.5 So maybe the boffins at Microsoft
can get their respective thinking caps on a solve the problem.

Regards Dave.

Same problem here. MSN Messenger takes constantly 90-100% CPU usage.
Windows Messenger 70% CPU usage.

Any ideas ?

regards Martin

Default MSN Messenger 7.5 Build 7.5.0324 High CPU Usage Problem

Well I'm still using build 0322 and I'm getting fed up with the fact that it
uses about 50MB of RAM to run, and with a message window open it's
definitely using up to 85% of CPU or more. But I heard the 0324 build was
suppose to fix that?
