Greetings,

To do colours, just press Ctrl-K and choose the colour you want -- won't affect size though.

i have friends chating with me using Messenger Plus. now, every time they
type a certain combination of letters (either as a word or that they turn
out to be the same combination of letters but part of a longer word) those
letters always become big and with a colorful dynamicly changing effect.
what i would like to learn is how to configure those effects on any
combination of characters i choose. i know that this feature is part of the
PLUS addition.

They likely made that key combination into a custom emoticon.

To find out if that is the case, click on one of the letters (or words)
with the left mouse button to select it, then right click on it, and if
you see the word "add" there, then it's an emoticon that you can save to
your own MSN

You would have to create an animated gif for it and then add it into
messenger. Just for the record by the way, this isn't a Messenger Plus
feature, it's MSN itself
