Default need video editor

hey. i have a few videos that i wanted to link together a friend told me that
my computer should have windows movie maker (which it does) but i need the
ends of the clips to fade into the next clip ... i might need something more
advanced. does any one kno of a good free movie editor that can let me fade
into the next frame.

Windows Movie Maker can do that... use transitions.
