Default recent hardware changes

Hi Please help, I had a recent Hardware change..my video card and upgraded my
memory, but at this time i notice that my pc hangs up and i have bno choice
but reboot it...and after this a window warning stating that there might be a
hardware change, there are choices if i want to start the windows normally or
in safemode etc,...what will i do? I has been happening frequently..also one
of my dvd rom hangs up also...is there such things a "overuse"because we
regularly watch dvd movies in my pc..or might also be the hardware changes?
Please help me what to do...THANKS
