Default Hardware Widows XP Dirvers ( Sound )

The sound on my Laptop is not working I tried the Help and support. They tols
me to reinstall the hardware I tries and the following error message
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be
corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I do not have a disk to reinstall this hardware and non of the other media
or sound devices give me this error message. When I Use the Wizard and double
klick on them it says: Device working properly.

Please Help

Go to the laptop's manufacturer site and download a new driver for the sound and then install it.
