Default Changing settings with XP pro

My son just bought a laptop second-hand. Windows XP pro was preinstalled by
the manufacturer.

Unfortunately, the regional/language are set to spanish and require a disc
to change it. Is there a download on microsoft that can change it to english?

Second hand laptop? Obviously installed with the spanish version of Windows
XP?

The only way to change the language is to purchase the english version of
Windows XP and a new license key and clean install it. However - being a
second-hand computer (unless you bought it from the manufacturer refurbished
and mis-spoke about it being second-hand) you should likely format it and
start fresh anyway yourself.

If it were only regional and language settings, you wouldn't need a disk.
There are versions of Windows which can have a language pack applied, but
Windows XP Pro is not one of them.

You will have to purchase an English version and do a clean install..
