Compose the page in Word. Then "print" it to a PDF file.

Thanks, but I need to reformat my downloaded pdf files. Large pages
of text are harder to read and I need two columns. I have been
saving the pdfs as Word documents, forming columns & then resaving as
pdf, which is tedious. Peter

Acrobat is the creation utility. Adobe Reader is the freebie, read-only
program.

I would say, as long as Word is doing a good job,
you've got a good recipe. I can't imagine a
more powerful "magic wand" than that.
