Domain User Problems
-----Original Message----- My PC is running XP Pro and is configured as a Domain user on a network. In the user mode, I am unable to set the folder to be shared ( no sharing option available after right click on folder) In addition, each time I install a new program, I was denied since I do not have administrative rights. How do one set the administrative rights for users of a domain such that it is allowed to install programs ? When invoking the Photo Editor, it states "Registry do not contain picture formats" I tried to remove Photo Editor and reinstall but to no avail. You must be an administrator to set user rights. Logon as administrator of the local machine, not your NT domain. If you don't have a password you are screwed, get it from the person/s who setup the machine. File sharing requires that the service "File and Printer Sharing for MS Networks" Open the Net Card properties and add the service. You must be an admin to do it woldack Kindly advice on how I could rectify the above problems. Thank you very much. . |
