Error on page & Login issues with MS Money 2004 problems as well
Hello -
I began having a problem yesterday that I can't figure out and it's really crippling my ability to use my computer, so please help I am (1) unable to login to websites (i.e. bankone.com) or (2) I can login, but then I'm unable to access links within that secure site (i.e. hotmail.com), and (3) I'm having problems using Microsoft Money 2004 which I don't know if it is related to #1 and #2. In the first example, I type in the username/password and then click the appropriate link to login and NOTHING happens. In the second example, I AM able to login, but then when I click on a link such as an email in Hotmail, NOTHING happens. For the first two problems: on these pages where these problems occur, there is a comment in the status bar of Internet Explorer which will state "Done, but with errors on page". This appears when the page initially loads and then changes to "Error on page" when I try to login or choose a link. If I enable script debugging through "Internet Explorer - Tools - Advanced - Disable Script Debugging" I get tons of "do you wish to debug" dialog boxes on the pages which I've tried. I think there's something wrong with my computer rather than these sites as this occurs on multiple sites since yesterday. I also have a problem logging in with Microsoft Money 2004, I have to bybass logging into the passport features and then when I try to enter any information into any of my account registers, Money crashes. This problem came up at the same time and so I don't know if it's related. I've ran "repair" in Money. Without any changes. I've only installed one program prior to these problems cropping up which was the Pocket PC SDK for Visual Studio .net which I've uninstalled without any help. I'm quite perplexed, this seemed to have just come "out of the blue". I am using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6. Other programs include Microsoft Money 2004, Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Visual Studio.net, Activesync, Norton Antivirus 9. Oddly, Outlook 2003 doesn't seem to have any problems logging into my 5 different email accounts and downloading mail and such. I've ran Spybot (with latest update), Norton Antivirus (with latest update), and checked the Windows and Office update (all up to date). I've tried turning on and off my software (Windows XP) and hardware (Linksys WCG200) firewalls. I've restored Internet Explorer security, Privacy, and advanced settings to their default. I've restored factory defaults on my Linksys Cable modem (WCG200). Any help?? I feel like I've done everything without any improvement at all!! Thanks - Kevin |
