Default Outlook startup time

Do not delete any updates as this may cause more damage
to your system. I have windows update 811493 installed
without a problem. This update is not what causing the
problem, instead it is Windows Messenger. Outlook
Express and Windows Messenger are linked together.
Delete Windows Messenger from your system to solve your
issue. Do a search for "uninstall Windows Messenger"
copy and paste the command line in the Run box and follow
the instructions for uninstallation.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I wonder if it's normal for Outlook to spent approx 50

seconds to start up
from the moment I click the launch Outlook button to it

actually starts up
and I can read mails etc?

I'm using XP Pro with P4, 1GB DDR and I don't have a lot

of messages in my
folders.

Kim
