startup warning message
ok thanks,
I'll give it a try. John -----Original Message----- Try going to the BIOS,go to exit menu, click the,"Load Setup Defaults",this loads default values for all set- up options, then click,"save changes and exit".Youre basically loading set-up as it should, from factory settings,if set-up gets confused as yours is,this should re-set to normal. -----Original Message----- Hi, Usually when I start WXP home, and before the Windows screen appears, I get the message: " The last attempt to restart the system from its previous location failed. Attempt to restart again?." I'm then given two choices: "Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu." (This choice works) "Continue with system restart." (This doesn't work). Why am I getting this message? How do I stop it? As well, during start-up and before the above message appears, I sometimes get a blue screen of 1/2 second duration which is full of text. I cannot react fast enough to do a shift/print screen. Does anyone know what this is all about (and how to prevent it?) . . |
