Windows 8 works well
Windows 8 works very well as other systems after XP. Never tried 8.1 or RT.
I have curiosity to try Windows RT but we can only have it on Microsoft Surface tablet which is a bit luxury extra toy to standard class people. It must be a very secure system to surf on web. I don't know what would happen if we had a problem because there is no Windows RT DVD to reinstall. |

With USB that question must surely have a truth-value of yes. Ed |

Ed Traditional backup like Windows 7 Backup and Restore is not present on 8.1. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...backup-restore File History is available http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...e-file-history Optionally via the File History app one can create a System Image on a hard disk (external, internal [different partition or different drive - if the former it needs to be selected by computer name/folder]), dvd or network location. System Image can save the System Reserved and/or drives/partitions. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...a-system-image -- ....winston msft mvp consumer apps |
