Desktop Icons
Hi Leonard,
Tried that but it makes the start menu icons larger too. I was just looking for the Desktop Icons to be larger. Thanks for your time, Alice "Leonard Grey" wrote in message ... Desktop Icons
There are only two icon size settings, Small (+/-16) (for Explorer icons) and Large (+/-48) (for Desktop).
1. Right-click on the Desktop and select Properties 2. Under the Appearance tab select Effects 3. Uncheck "Use Large Icons" (There is a bug in Windows where using large icons (size=48) causes all the icons in Explorer, when you insert a CD, to show as IE icons) 4. OK 5. Under the Appearance tab select Advanced 6. Click the "Item:" down arrow and select "Icon" 7. Select a size. (small=16, medium=32, large=47 *Not 48) 8. OK, Apply, OK ju.c "Alice" wrote in message ... Thanks in advance, Alice Right click on Desktop, choose Properties. Click on the Appearance tab, then click on "Effects...". Then check "Use large icons". If it's already checked, or if you want even more control over them, instead of clicking on "Effects..." on the Appearance tab, instead click on "Advanced", and then choose "Icon" from the dropdown menu. (It's right below "Desktop" which is the option showing.) From here you can choose whatever size icon or text for them your heart desires. :-) Larry W. |
