My wife and I like to have digital photos (of our
granddaughter, of course!) as our desktop wallpaper.
Initially, she was able to set any photo she wanted, and
I could do the same. Now, however, whenever one of us
sets a new photo as wallpaper, the same photo becomes the
wallpaper of the other user. We are unable to find a way
to get around this. The only way we are presently able
to tell which user is up is by the number and type of
icons located on the desktop.

It doesn't seem to matter whether we go through Control
Panel or use our preferred digital photo program MS
Digital Image Pro v7; the result is the same.

We have XP Home Edition

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

I'm not sure if this would fix your problem, but give it a shot...

1. Copy or move the pictures you want available as wallpaper options to the
C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper folder.
2. Right-click on your desktop and select the wallpaper tab.
3. Verify that all the pictures you copied/moved are available selections.
4. Select one of them and click OK.

Like I said, I'm not sure if this will help. Were you going into the
Display properties to select your wallpaper (as instructed above), or were
you doing the "Set as wallpaper" thing? Am I making sense?? = )

Let me know if it helps...

P.S. If you're not using the "Classic Start menu", you should see the
current user's name in the upper-left corner of the Start menu.
