Hi
Error Code 0x8007f0cc
You have a corrupt version (Kernel) of XP

This may indicate either that you downloaded a corrupted copy of the
SP2 installer, or the kernel has gotten corrupted SINCE installing XP,
or BEFORE installing it (either you received a corrupted XP install
disc when you purchased it, you have a virus or trojan, or the XP
installation was corrupted during installation, or since.

There is also the chance that the kernel was already corrupted if the
XP installation came from a pirated version on the Internet or from a
friend. NOTE that I am NOT saying that your version IS a pirated one,
only that it is a POSSIBLILITY, so please do not misunderstand me
here.

I have never purchased a corrupted XP install disc, but I do recognise
the distinct possiblity of one coming from a manufacturer, such as a
large system builder or Microsoft. After all, these discs are
produced in HUGE batches by MACHINES, leaving the possiblity of some
copies being corrupted during the manufacturing process and getting in
circulation somehow.
