I am getting pop-up boxes from Microsoft.net passport
asking me to sign in, or saying that a
request cannot be completed because the Microsoft.NET
Passport service could not be found or did not respond.
How can I stop this messages...There are on the C drive
even when I am not connected to the net. Help
..

Greetings Gail,

Putting your e-mail and previous posts together here, I'm not exactly sure why you're getting
the Passport sign-in box when you go to "My Recent Documents". However, I'm curious to what
happens if you use the "normal" method to remove the Recent documents? To do so, right-click
the Start button, choose Properties, make sure that 'Start menu' (not Classic) is chosen,
then choose the Customize button, then click the Advanced tab, and under Recent Documents,
click the 'Clear List' button.
