I have a sony vaio laptop with
Windows XP. When I use battery power only, the screen is
quite dark and hard to read. I have tried using FN F5
to set the brightness level with no luck.

As soon as I plug the laptop into an outlet, the screen
gets nice and bright....how can I brighten the screen
using battery power? any help is appreciated.
thanx!

HD,

How about a visit to the Sony site and search for the answer there? Just
because your OS is Windows XP doesn't mean that every problem you can
encounter is caused by it.
