Default SP2 crashed my computer

Hi,
It's an OEM. I've been digging around and am able to do the internet
and so on and was just informed by my daughter that we now have
W32.Serflog.B thanks to her MSN.We don't do business or anything
important on it and would just like to take it back to the day I bought
the thing.

Without a xp cd,or a workable oem recovery cd,youre limited.1st,call the oem
mfg,get a replacement cd (youre going to need it),was SP2 uninstalled,either
way,try run,type:cmd In cmd type:CHKDSK C: /R Agree to restart,then type:
EXIT Restart computer.If xp wont open,at start-up or restart,tap the F8 key,
select safe mode, enter as administrator, type the same as above in cmd.
To get youre computer back as it was as new, you'll need the oem recovery cd.

Hi ,
are you the same Denise who got the W32.Serlog thing , who got the
advice to reinstall the Widows XP Home Edition . Because reinstalling is one
very good way of ridding your whole computer system of any virus or whatever
else could of got in there , if you are prepared to reinstall all your other
software . It is a great way to learn if you have some time to learn .
I've been reinstalling my Windows Xp Home Edition for nearly a year now
and have only recently discovered that the electricity is not good enough to
supply the harddrive with enough power for it to function properly .
So if you need someone to walk you through reinstalling from the Windows
XP home Edition CDRom , I can help you .

Oh hey , I don't want to push ahead of AndrewE , he seems to know what
he is talking about .
I have come staight from the Microsoft Newsgroup site without having
seen the other posts here , so please excuse the interruption . But I
will be here if you would like to use me .
After reinstalling Windows XP Home Edition for more than a year now ,
almost constantly , I fell a little experienced when I see that people
are having what seem to be simple problems .
Here if you need me , Nick .
