Is there any way to add the date to my taskbar, so that it always shows such
as 12/08/2008 ??

I've been using T-Clock for years, and even routinely install it on
customer's computers. It's highly configurable and never a problem of any
sort.

yes, if you have the "Show the clock" enabled, it is only a matter of
making the taskbar tall enough to show the date.
