The only two famous people I know of who played reasonably well were Humphrey Bogart (who was somewhere around the same strength as I was) and Stanley Kubrick (who I used to often see at the Manhattan Chess Club, where we were both members; but we never played each other, and I don't know how strong he was). -- Ken Blake |
