KenW Great little utility, Portable, Fast loading, Simple and easy interface to use, covers even invisible files, I give it a thumbs up. Rene |

T, my question(s) would be similar to Bi Al's. Which ones should be removed, which ones should stay? If my sister were one of your customers, she'd shoot you if you removed the solitaire collection. LOL "One man's trash is another man's treasure." This is how I view these programs that many consider bloatware. I used to remove this type of stuff until I realized some people like and use a particular item others call bloatware. There's a lot in the list of apps removed a lot of people might want. I've used Skype and Pandora, in the past. A lot of people have Netflix. My impression is, a lot of people play Candy Crush Soda. Lots of folks like a Maps program. (Personally, I use Google Maps, but I understand why some like having a maps app at their fingertips.) And, so on and so forth. These days, I ask before I remove, and I don't remove/delete them from the system. If they are pinned ti Start and are a Live Tle, I turn the tile off and unpin. In the list, I wonder how many of those are platform specific? Such as Cyberlink, which seems to me to come with HP products, but not many others if at all. -- Ken MacOS 10.14.6 Firefox 70.0.1 Thunderbird 60.9 "My brain is like lightning, a quick flash and it's gone!" |

Note that it now has a GUI edition: How to run Windows 10 Debloader: -- start PowerShell.exe as Administrator -- cd to Windows10Debloater-master -- Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -- run `./Windows10Debloater.ps1` or `Windows10DebloaterGUI.ps1` note: the `./` is required https://github.com/Sycnex/Windows10D...ui-application Windows10SysPrepDebloater.ps1 - The silent version now utilizes the switch parameters: -Sysprep, -Debloat -Privacy. The silent version can be useful for deploying MDT Images/sysprepping or any other way you deploy Windows 10. This will work to remove the bloatware during the deployment process. Windows10Debloater.ps1 - This interactive version is what it implies - a Windows10Debloater script with interactive prompts. This one should not be used for deployments that require a silent script with optional parameters. This script gives you choices with prompts as it runs so that you can make the choices of what the script does. Windows10DebloaterGUI.ps1 There is now a GUI Application named Windows10DebloaterGUI.ps1 with buttons to perform all of the functions that the scripts do. This is better for the average user who does not want to work with code, or if you'd prefer to just see an application screen. |
