Default My Recent Documents

Right now I am not showing my recent documents in my start menu. I would like
to turn it back on however there is no option in the start menu properties
when you go to it. I followed the directions in MS Support to go to the start
menu properties and then click customise and then go to the advanced tab. But
there is no option there to show my recent documents. Does anyone know what
the problem is or how I fix this?

On the advanced tab there should be a box at the bottom to check to List
Most Recent Docs

I can clearly see your frustration.
Just found this. A registry setting that removes the check box. Read down
at the 8th bullet. This may be it. Hmmm. Interesting.

This didn't work either. Unless I have to reboot after.
