Turns out that all of the 19,608 log*.txt There is no such thing as log*.txt. It is either *.log or *.txt. How old are you? You must be nearing the end of your life considering you have started clearing your mess before you die. INCORRECT A search of my C: drive of log*.txt shows 94 files ... all starting with "log" and suffix of ".txt" Not only are those what you already have on your drive, but anyone can create as many such files as he wants to at any time. Saying there is no such thing is nonsense, but what more could you expect from a troll? |

File cleanup of .txt files

Can I get rid of these files? While I like keeping the record of the history of my play in Klondike, I can live without them. Lots and lots and lots of solutions to your problem. This is just one more that hasn't been suggested yet (to my knowledge). dir /s/a/l/on/b c:\*.txt | findstr "klondike" delete_these_files.bat Then do a global addition of "delete" in front of every filespec found. :%s/.*/delete & (which means add a delete in front of the filespec) Then just run the "delete_these_files.bat" script. |
