change file type in windows XP
Hi,
In windows XP, I want to change the file type for C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\plug_ins and .api files so that it is not Type AcroExch.Plugin but is instead Type API. Any ideas where in the registry I might start looking? Background to this is when I install Acrobat 5.0 before Adobe Reader 9.2, the file type for .API is recognised AcroExch.Plugin. If I install Adobe Reader 9.2 first, then the file type for .API is recognised as API I have looked at changing .api to open with Adobe Reader 9.2 but that does not change the Type of file from AcroExch.Plugin. Thanks, Paul |

Delete and make a new file type naming it whatever you want. Also associate it with whatever you want to open it. -- dadiOH ____________________________ dadiOH's dandies v3.06... ....a help file of info about MP3s, recording from LP/cassette and tips & tricks on this and that.
