XP SP3 Failed Install
XP Home SP3 download through auto update failed to install today after over
3 hours of not responding. Fortunately the roll back to SP2 worked after another 2 hours. Is SP3 really necessary? I guess the first indication that I should not have tried the install was the message to back up all files on my computer which I did. What's the scope with SP3? Thanks, Bc |

XP SP3 Failed Install
Thanks for your help. Did not know any firewalls must be disabled. It
installed in 30 minutes after disabling. Bc "Leonard Grey" wrote in message ...
