Default Can't Delete Files

IE has downloaded a bunch of Chineese fonts
on to my drive.
I guess I hit some wrong keys on the keyboard
while IE was open.
I now have in Windows\system32 a directory named:
IME
which has folders named:
CINTLGNT
PINTLGNT
TINTLGNT
which take up lots of megs
and which wont delete
cause they are always in use by:
winlogon.exe.

Is there any simple way to delete this stuff?

Thank you,
Emory

I would try restarting in safe mode, using the command prompt and deleteing the files that way. Good Luck

Waldo

It worked good enuf.
Opening in safe mode
and using in XP:

rmdir c:\windows\system32\ime /s

removed all the files in all the folders
so now 0 bytes are taken from my HD.
But strangely the IME folder
and the
CINTLGNT
PINTLGNT
TINTLGNT
folders remain.

But, enough. In fifteen years I will just get another computer.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Emory
