formatting a disk
It is basically breaking a disk into cylinders sectors cluster etc. But,
rather than write a whole book here and explaining go to http://www.whatis.com At that location you can look up anything about computers your heart desires. "ted" wrote in message ... please explain to me like i'm a 5 year old what formatting a disk means---what does it accomplish and why is it important?

and how to do. Type "format" in a Google or other search engine and sure you'll be overwhelmed with all the info on this "ted" wrote in message ... please explain to me like i'm a 5 year old what formatting a disk means---what does it accomplish and why is it important?
