Default need info on csrss.exe

Hi Timmy,

I never even thought of that! Thanks for the tip.

I've had pretty good luck just using Google to find out
information on this sort of thing.

Hi Folks,

I have a thread going at:

microsoft.public.security-general security discussion
stopping pop-up messeges-part 2
May 27 2003 6:32PM

Please see the above thread for a detailed description

of
my problem. I would like to know if anyone in this group
can provide some info on the file - CSRSS.EXE?

I can not find any reference to it in any help files on

my
machine. In the properties dialog, it's described as a
client server runtime process. A different file but with
the same name is a known worm. Discussed in the above
mentioned thread. Does anyone know what the legitimate
version of this file does? I think it has some

association
with messages.

Thanks for your help
Biff
