Help, problems with removing accounts in control panel
Hello
I try to remove some accounts from my MSN Messenger. I did try to do as told in some replys in this channel. Control panel - users - my account (its the only one on this winxp pc) - manage netwerk accounts. I can see the user accounts there, but i cant remove them. Winxp just doesnt accept my remove command, they still keep on listed in the list. What am i doing wrong? |

Help, problems with removing accounts in control panel
Greetings John,
Are you using the Dutch version of Windows XP? If you are, what you're seeing is a bug within the Dutch version and as such, the 'Delete' button will do nothing and you will not be able to remove these. The only thing you can do is completely remove all the Passports and prevent any from being saved in the future by downloading and running this .reg file: http://messenger.jonathankay.com/dow...lenetcreds.reg Then reboot for the changes to take effect. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "John" wrote in message ... Help, problems with removing accounts in control panel
Hi John,
You're very welcome, however if you use my .reg file below, it will essentially "hide" all of them, there's no need to know the passwords. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "John" wrote in message ...
