Default unable to install msn messenger

downloaded msn messenger and when opening it received the
following messge in part..... error creating process c:\
etc~\temp\1xp0000.temp\bootstrap.exe.msn. reason the
system cannot find the path specified ... have windows
Xp . any help appreciated...

Default unable to install msn messenger

Greetings Ka,

This usually indicates that you need to "clean out" your temp folder. To do so, click Start,
then Run, type:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\temp
and click OK.

Then highlight all the folders (click and drag in the window to create a "box" to encompass
the folders) then press the Delete key on your keyboard. Confirm the deletion and then try
the installer again.
