Default program removal

After removing a program using the add and remove tool in XP I still see
the programs name in the all programs list , and a corresponding folder in
program files .What is the correct way to remove these items? I read
somewhere that tweak UI does the job I ran tweakUI but I cannot figure out
how to do it ,any suggestions or alternatives please?

Some programs uninstall utilities do not remove folders/shortcuts as well as
save data. I have heard that tweak ui will do this for you as well, or you
can delete the folder under program files and remove the shortcut folder
under the all programs list. Note that if you click the link under the all
programs list it should come up as not being able to find the program the
shortcut was pointing to.
Best of luck,

Albert, sounds like the Program Uninstaller did not remove the shortcuts
or the program
folder from Program Files. You will have to rt click on each shortcut
entry and choose delete
as well as the program folder . You can also go to StartRun type:
regedit click Ok and
Navigate to Hkey_Current_User\Software. Find the program folder there and
rt click and
delete.
