Out of curiosity, what has the numbers lock got to do with it?

When I press U, I, O, J, K, L; I see different numbers on my screen. Rest of the keyboard works OK. . If one has a laptop computer the numbers share some of the keys on the right side of the keyboard when number lock is turned on. The keys involved are U, I, O, P, J, K, L, ;, M and 0 on the top. Desktops share numbers with cursor keys which are duplicated on most keyboards. On older 84-key keyboards, number lock was a problem but you rarely see those keyboards anymore. -- Earl F. Parrish |
