Default XP PC Freezing

PC Freezing up. Restored to two weeks ago whenh didn't have the prob but
still frezing. Usually after 5-30 mins of use.

Started after BBand installed.

Wonder if its an overheating prob.

CPU variesd fromm 65-82C when idle and fan sticks at 2163 revs and doesn't
change.

Medion 8383 PC.

Hi

Have you had a look in the Event Viewer to see if any reference has been
made in there with regards to the problem?

Its under warranty. The engineer put a new fan in yesterday. It sounded like
a vacuum cleaner before but is now quite.

Its a liquid cooled fan.

Hi

You only need to provide the Event ID and Source. Then someone may be able
to point you towards a possible solution. I agree with Li'l Roberto - your
PC's temp is too high.

PC Freezing up. Restored to two weeks ago whenh didn't have the prob but
still frezing. Usually after 5-30 mins of use.

Started after BBand installed.

Wonder if its an overheating prob.

CPU variesd fromm 65-82C when idle and fan sticks at 2163 revs and
doesn't change.

Medion 8383 PC.

65C @ idle is too hot, 82C is critical IMO, you may want to replace
the fan with something better, Thermaltake have good range.

Its under warranty. The engineer put a new fan in yesterday. It sounded
like a vacuum cleaner before but is now quite.

Its a liquid cooled fan.

More than likely the new fan will solve your problem

There is no such thing as a "Liquid Cooled Fan".

Children should not play with things they do not understand.

65 degrees Celsius should be your temps *AT LOAD*. Most processors are only
rated to 70 to 75 degrees Celsius. Your temps are very much out of line.
If it under warranty, demand it be fixed properly. Once again, your temps
should only rise to above 60 degrees Celsius when under full load (gaming,
etc).

Doesn't look good, could be those excessive temps have damaged your
CPU, NoNoBadDog! is right on the money - 65C should be your max temp.
Luckily for you the PC is still under warranty

good luck
