Default Scanner Scripts Error

Hello!

When I try to scan a picture or text I get a script error
message:
"Internet Explorer Script Error
Line: 382
Char: 4
Error: Object Expected
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\Digital
Imaging\bbfe\scan\scan.htm

Do you wish to continue running scripts on this page?
y/n?"

I am using an XP compatible scanner and software-- HP
Scanjet 2300c. I have updated drivers, etc.

I have tried Repair, over-installing, then uninstalling +
reinstalling, but I still have the same problem. An HP
KB Article suggested turning off the Preview feature,
which I tried, but no luck.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Pax!
