Strange Download behavior
IE under Winxp Pro (new install) will download about the first 400KB of a
file on the internet in a second or two, then stop for a long time then downloads the rest in dribs and drabs very slowly. If I cancel the download after the first burst then start it again it now down loads another 400KB or so then repeats the halt. Every time I cancel and restart the same thing happens. Anybody know how to fix this? |

Strange Download behavior
This may help...If not already running, go to the Computer Management
consoleServices and ApplicationsServices. Make sure these 3 services are running (set them to automatic): Application Layer Gateway Services, DNS Client and IPSEC Services. Then go to "Run", type in "cmd" (without the quotes). At the command prompt type this: ipconfig /release. When the cursor moves to the next line type this: ipconfig /renew. Close the window. Start your browser and see if this info worked. Good Luck. |
