Default Security Updates fail to install

I'm having problems with the latest updates posted.
Security Updates 328310 and 810565 both download OK but
fail to install. Anyone else having this problem that
could suggest a fix?
THanks in advance

You need to rename the folder C:\windows\system32\catroot2 to catroot2old.
Then Reboot. Then run Windows Update again.

The Catroot2 folder has to do with the Cryptographic Services which verifies
the integrity of the updates, among other things. The problem is that one
of the logs in that directory is corrupt. If it works Windows will recreate
the catroot2 folder. There are a couple of Knowledge Base articles that
discuss this problem with some
specific updates.

Hope that helps.
