Default gwx anti-win 10 antidote

just wondering... has anyone tried this utility that turns off GWX? Its
called GWX control panel (formerly GWX stopper)

I have run it on a number of machines. Some W7 others a form of W8 for
about two months or so. Been nice to not see the upgrade icon show up
on those machines regardless of which updates get installed.

I expect Microsoft to find a way around it sooner or later but so far
the program has kept things quiet.

Most are older machines are at charities that they hope will be replaced
by newer machines that already have W10 installed on them before the
free W10 upgrade deadline arrives. If not then they will bite the
bullet and try to upgrade them just before the deadline expires.

Yes. It's excellent. Doesn't need installing, either - just run it.

Be careful to only download it from the original site, though. There's
bound to be loads of sites offering malware-laden copies.

I just renamed the GWX folder and that seems to have stopped my get 10 logo.
