Hey not too bad

I decided to update my Win7 machine which does not get used too
much...it only took 14 hours to find the most recent 39 updates.

Looks like they have improved the slow update problem, it used to take
closer to 20 hours

Mine used to be slow too, overnight type. Then I read there was an
update that was supposed to fix that issue, but of course getting to
that update was the hard part, at least via Windows Update.
Now mine takes the typical few minutes.
Hopefully next round will be good for you too.

I want to dispel that rumor.

There is no *fix*.

Windows Update uses an unbounded algorithm.

Everything else follows from that.

It's like your car has a slow leak in a tire,
and you keep going to the gas station, pumping it
up, and pretending you're driving a "well maintained car" :-)

Yep.

I applied that so call fix and it did nothing...

that said I guess it's not the end of the world to just let it run all
night but it's kind of absurd.
