Win 7 Pro - USB Drive Problem
Several USB 4T drives connected OK.
Adding one more but does not show up. Ditto for a different 4T so that makes two that will not show up. Still have many drive letters available. I get the boing boing when I plug it in. I feel the drive head moving when I plug it in. I do not see it in Windows Explorer. Suggestion please to get this visible. |

They might appear there waiting to have a letter assigned to them. Ed |

Try USBTreeView. https://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbtreeview_e.html Check for a new device appearing in the window, when the drive is plugged in. A device should appear, if "endpoints" form as part of the setup of a new connection. Paul |

What happens if you unplug one of the "connected OK ones" and then plug in one of the non-working ones? I doubt you have enough USP ports to plug in "several" drives at the same time, so I wonder if your USB hub is over capacity, or if there's some weird limit in Windows. -- Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://BrownMath.com/ http://OakRoadSystems.com/ Shikata ga nai... |
